Hope for Peace

I worked with Lutheran Immigration & Refugee Services (LIRS) in 2014 as a volunteer coordinating the West Coast region advocacy efforts. Every year, they host the Migrant & Refugee Leadership Academy, bringing together hundreds of former refugee and immigrant youth from across the U.S. to learn how to become better advocates in their communities. I enjoyed hosting workshops on Community Mobilization at their 2015 academy.
They featured me on their blog, check it out: http://blog.lirs.org/i-still-have-hope-for-peace/
